This notice explains what Pujanlok collects when you browse the site or book a puja, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
[COMPANY LEGAL NAME] is the data fiduciary. Write to [EMAIL] with any question about this notice.
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp or mobile number | You start a booking, or sign in | To send the puja video, booking updates and the one-time code that signs you in |
| Email address | You book from outside India | WhatsApp delivery is not guaranteed abroad, so the video is emailed as well |
| Name and gotra of each devotee | You fill in the sankalp | The pandit reads these aloud at the shrine. This is the service itself |
| Your wish, if you write one | You choose to add it | It is passed to the pandit with the sankalp |
| Delivery address | You ask for a prasad box | To post the box. Not collected when nothing ships |
| Payment result | You pay | We store whether the payment succeeded and its reference. Card and UPI details never reach our servers — they go directly to [PAYMENT GATEWAY] |
| Device identifier | You use the site | A random value in your browser, so a guest booking can be found again |
We do not collect your date of birth, your horoscope, or anything about your health. We do not buy personal data from anyone.
Booking updates are part of the service you paid for and are sent whether or not you opt into anything else.
Festival and muhurat reminders are separate. That box is unticked by default, ticking it is your choice, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp or writing to [EMAIL]. Declining changes nothing about your booking.
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Booking records, including sankalp details | [8] years, as accounting rules require |
| Puja videos and photos | [2] years, then deleted |
| Delivery address | Until the parcel is delivered, then [12] months |
| Marketing consent record | Until you withdraw it, plus [3] years as proof of what was agreed |
Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, erase it where we are not required to keep it, or nominate someone to act for you. Write to [EMAIL]; we answer within [15] days.
If you are not satisfied, our grievance officer is the next step, and after that the Data Protection Board of India.
Bookings are for adults. If a booking is made for or by someone under 18, a parent or guardian must give consent, and we do not use a child's data for any marketing.
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we will say so on this page and, where the change is significant, tell you directly.
